The deaf community in the Philippines is an underserved sector of society. With the advent of the Internet and digital technology in the past decades, these individuals now have an opportunity to make their voice heard—literally and figuratively.
PAGEONE seizes this opportunity and utilizes its popular web assets as a platform to help the Filipino deaf community achieve better inclusion in society.
PAGEONE continues to produce special informative video series called “Beyond Words” illustrating common usage of the Filipino Sign Language (FSL) method. In 2018, we reached over 900,000++ Filipino netizens. In 2019, we targeted a modest 1.5M as our way to sustain the campaign. However, we reached almost 2.5M active social media users – 300% increase from previous year and almost 200% of our initial targets.
The videos attained 127,054 active engagements, 295,000 views, 4,522 reactions, 7,003 shares and 4,324 comments.
